We will be open, and follow normal business hours throughout the pandemic. Governor DeSantis' "Safer-at-Home" order of April 3 follows the Department of Homeland Security's "Essential Services" guidelines, which include "automotive service and repair." On March 19th the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), designated the vehicle service and repair industry an "Essential Service," and "automotive repair and maintenance facilities" one of the 13 sectors critical to the smooth running of the U.S. government and economy, including health care, law enforcement, food and agriculture, critical manufacturing, hazardous materials, public works, energy, communications and information technology, and financial services.
At Carrsmith, the safety of our customers' in the Gainesville area is always been one of our team's number one priorities. Facing the current crisis our commitment to that goal will not change.
As the leading automotive repair center in the Gainesville area, our auto repair shop wants to to do our part to assist in preventing the spread of the virus while maintaining a healthy environment for both clients and team members.
With accordance to the CDC, Carrsmith will be taking the following precautions:
The repeated routine cleaning of all commonly used surfaces in our shop throughout each day.
Our clients' vehicles will be disinfected before and after service to protect clients and team members
Our technicians and office staff have been instructed to wash hands for 20+ seconds regularly throughout each day
Subject to availability, sanitizing stations are available through out our shop and customer areas
Carrsmith team members are required to stay home if any viral symptoms present
