While I am traveling out of town, my wife called to say her 2020 Tesla Y was displaying that the low voltage battery needed replacement. You Tube videos show that the replacement is not difficult. Normally I would have done the work myself, but not being there, I searched the internet to find a shop in Gainesville that could do the replacement for her.
So, Carsmith did the work and charged her $460. She had no idea if this was reasonable and she paid the bill.
Hearing this number I did a quick search and learned that Tesla sells the replacement battery for DIY replacement for $85, and will do the replacement at the Tesla service center for $130 total for materials and labor. We were robbed by Carrsmith!
